While coaching is a client-led partnership, there are several things that most clients experience throughout their coaching experience.
+ Self-Discovery - This is the process of discovering what is holding you back from your ideal _____ - well, you can fill in the blank here - life? job? marriage? idea of success? (You get the picture). This may be the very reason you signed up for a coach, but it may also be something you had no idea existed. Clients often describe this as "Clarity" and "Aha!" moments. Together with your coach, you will work to identify these blocks and make a plan to move you toward the life you truly want.
+ Education - Many clients describe feeling "stuck" in their present circumstances by the time they come to a coach. While coaching is always a client-led experience, that often means the client wants to learn new ways to approach their present situation. While much of this can be perspective, there are also tools and skills available to help clients discover what their full potential is. And, the best part is that the client gets to decide what works for them!
+ Action - Once a client discovers and decides what they truly want, we will make a plan to get there! With your coach, you'll work together to strategically outline (and organize) your next steps/actions. Many clients LOVE this stage because they begin to experience the benefit of their new-found clarity (and energy!) and put it into action. Working with your coach regularly to continue progress means you'll be able to identify any potential "hang-ups" (or dare I say "growth opportunities") and work together to overcome them.
+ Celebration - This is the part where the client experiences the joy of celebrating their success! Encouragement and Inspiration are essentials along the way! No matter what your successes are, both big and small, having your coach journey the road with you means your coach is able to celebrate with you too! Let's be honest - it's a lot of work to climb the mountains we face in life, but having someone journey with you to the top can be a great feeling!
While both coaches and therapists help clients improve their lives, therapists typically focus on addressing mental health issues and past traumas, while coaches focus on helping individuals achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being through discovering what holds them back and creating a plan to achieve success. One phrase we appreciate is, "Coaches help clients move from functional to optimal in any area of life and business."
If you've found yourself here, reading through the Q&A and wondering if you're a good fit for coaching, well, you probably are. But, for all of our clients we ask a few simple questions to determine if this is the best time and season to start a coaching relationship.
1. Will you make space for regular sessions in your schedule?
This may sound simple, but we are all balancing life's demands, so it's helpful to look at your commitments and evaluate if coaching will be a priority for you. When clients create the time and space for consistent coaching, that is when they see the most results.
2. Are you ready to do the work both inside + outside of sessions?
While each week is unique, there is usually some type of action to carry the client through until the next session. Sessions are only the beginning of progress toward your success; the majority of the transformation happens outside of the session in your day-to-day life. While coaches are skilled at helping their clients, the actual transformation can only occur when the client decides to fully engage. We are confident you will love your transformation!
3. Are you ready to be both Honest + Transparent with yourself and your coach?
We have often found the most difficult challenge is to be completely honest with one's self (and then sharing honestly with your coach). Sometimes the person we hide from the most is ourself (Don't worry, we aren't here to judge and work hard to make this process easier by being curious, empathetic and non-judgmental.) We just know that once we discover what is holding a client back from their true success or purpose, we've already done some of the hardest work! This is where that honesty comes in... clients discover things they didn't even know existed once they commit to honesty and transparency. Once we know what we're working with clients have shared they feel that surge of energy because they can finally make choices toward the change they truly want in life.

Our Clients generally fall under three main areas of focus, but are certainly not limited to these. Please contact us if you feel you'd like to discuss your specific coaching needs with someone.
A Leadership + Success client is one that wants to take their personal and professional leadership to the next level. These clients may also have businesses and/or teams that can benefit from coaching as well. Here we work with clients to develop a partnership program that accelerates performance and productivity, as well as increases satisfaction for individuals in the workplace. When clients and their teams/employees feel empowered, courageous and energized by what they do, there are limitless possibilities. The benefits of this program not only impact career success, but home life as well. There are no caps on what is possible when a client discovers their own untapped leadership potential and removes the obstacles that have been holding them back.
A Life Transformation client is someone that is ready for change OR knows they are about to encounter one. This can include both individuals and relationships. These clients may be seeking clarity around life change, motivation for change, help navigating a transition, or simply wanting more inspiration, purpose and direction in life. No matter the transformation you desire for yourself, we work together to empower you in ways that can launch you into a more successful and satisfying future.
A Crisis C+C client is someone that is experiencing the effects of a crisis - this may be the person directly OR family and friends of someone experiencing a crisis. Some examples are: Experiencing a divorce, the family & friends of a couple going through divorce, an unexpected medical diagnosis, cancer diagnosis and treatment, death and the experience of grief and loss, living life with mental health disease in someone you love. These are only a few.
*Note from Jeshanna: Having years of experience with many of these in my own life, it is near to my heart to assist others as they travel some of the most difficult roads life presents. Although no one person can take away a crisis, I believe we can help others navigate it. Please reach out if you need help and we will do our best to work together to get you moving forward in ways that offer and inspire hope.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance at Whitefall. We adhere to the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which includes strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
We understand that 1-on-1 private sessions do not always work for every client's budget. This is why we also offer scholarships, group sessions, workshops and classes. Please reach out to inquire about the Scholarships + Sponsors program, as well as view the Groups tab in the navigation bar to see what is currently being offered.
If you don't find what you're looking for in our current Groups, we also offer the option of creating a group session or workshop based on your interests. If you know others that may be interested in group coaching, this may be the perfect option for you.
Please do not hesitate to schedule a Free Discovery Call. This is our opportunity to hear your story and help develop a plan that works for you.
